TED: Artfully Visualizing Our Humanity

TED TALKS: "Artist Aaron Koblin takes vast amounts of data -- and at times vast numbers of people -- and weaves them into stunning visualizations. From elegant lines tracing airline flights to landscapes of cell phone data, from a Johnny Cash video assembled from crowd-sourced drawings to the "Wilderness Downtown" video that customizes for the user, his works brilliantly explore how modern technology can make us more human."

I have now added TED to my Favorites Bar on IE, right next Carpe Diem and a few select others.

TED, it might have actual value for some, some entertainment value for others but what TED is really indicative of is all the loose bandwidth we have lying around just waiting to be filled up...

Come on guys, get off the Curmudgeon Reservation and go to the local internet cafe in town and watch this TEDx Talk: How HTML 5 is changing the Internet for instance.

The marketplace for new ideas is for you to buy, sell or ignore but TED gives you the opportunity to look around an idea mall.
